EXCLUSIVE: YMU has hired a corporate speaking and events appearances boss.
Georgia Milligan joins to lead the London agency’s global corporate speaking and appearances across its roster of talent, which includes the likes of Simon Cowell, and Ant and Dec.
Milligan was previously European Manager at consultancy Gartner where she worked internationally to source, and book, names and keynote speakers for conferences across Europe, the U.S., Middle East & Australia. Prior to this, she built the corporate division for talent agency group KBJ / PBJ, sourcing speaking engagements and event appearances for the likes of Louis Theroux, Richard Ayoade and Claudia Winkleman, the latter of whom was previously a YMU client.
Her role is newly created and she will be leading a team of three. Together with the event appearances team, Milligan will work closely with YMU’s partnerships teams across LA, New York and London to upsell and develop events into wider partnerships for clients and partners.
YMU CEO Mary Bekhait said the agency is “delighted to attract someone of Georgia’s experience, network and reputation.” “Her successful building of similar divisions within talent agencies, as well as working directly for global corporate clients is a compelling blend,” she added.
Milligan said YMU has an “incredibly impressive and diverse roster of leading talent and influential voices.”
Milligan’s hire comes amid a flurry of change at YMU, fresh off the back of snapping up LADBible exec Drew Middleton to lead digital marketing and social strategy, and Spotify’s Rhyanna Coleman to oversee podcasting output. Heading in the other direction have been the likes of events exec Olivia Bertolotti, who moved to InterTalent, Minnie Harding, who joined MVE, Rebecca Dowell and Lizzie Barroll Brown.
Earlier this week, Deadline revealed that YMU will co-manage British fashion model and presenter Leomie Anderson with her current reps, Brand Creative Group.
