Tyrese may have plenty of money in the bank – but he no longer has plans to spend that money on real jewelry.
The singer/actor stopped by Power 105’s The Breakfast Club on Tuesday (August 20) for a conversation about mental health, new music and more. At one point, co-host Charlamagne asked if his earrings were real, to which Tyrese replied with a simple, “No.”
He continued: “You know why it’s not real? Because I’ve lost so much of this shit. I done spent half a million dollars on a fucking watch. Call Jacob The Jeweler, n-gga. Call all of them. All the most famous, popular jewelers online, they all got my black Centurion [American Express card]. That thing goes through. I’m good.
“I don’t lose no sleep over trying to win the popularity contest showing up with all this jewelry that I’ma leave on the nightstand and have a housekeeper that says, ‘I don’t know!’ I’m sure you don’t know where them fucking $250k earrings is at!”

Back in May, Tyrese walked out on a concert while it was in full swing to apparently avoid being served with a lawsuit.
The singer and actor, who is no stranger to drama, was performing in Georgia when a security guard came on stage and whispered something in his ear.
Shortly afterwards, the Fast & Furious star jumped off the stage and headed towards the exit while telling the crowd he loves them.
According to TMZ, Tyrese had several songs left in his set when he received word that a process server was at the venue to give him legal papers on behalf of music video director Bryan Barber, who is suing the singer for defamation and libel.
Last year, Barber — who is best known for his work with OutKast — filed a lawsuit against Tyrese after the singer appeared on The Breakfast Club and claimed the director was holding some footage hostage.
Barber took issue with the comment and felt it damaged his reputation, and subsequently filed the $10 million lawsuit.
Tyrese has been facing a myriad of legal issues in recent months relating to his ex-wife and child support payments.
The singer’s ex-wife Samantha Lee claimed that he should be found in contempt of court for refusing to pay his $10,000 monthly child support.
Tyrese claimed he could not afford the payments because he is not currently filming a Fast & Furious movie, with the most recent installment coming out in the summer of 2023.
He has also accused his ex-wife of three years of being a gold digger, something she vehemently denied.
