Introducing “Slowly (feat. RVLE)”, a funky house track by Norwegian producer and guitarist Tollef in collaboration with American producer Deerock. Known for blending influences from artists like Madeon, Daft Punk, and The 1975, Tollef’s unique sound has already graced popular TV shows like Love Island US and Made In Chelsea. This release kicks off the first of five tracks leading to Tollef’s Commence EP, slated for release in December under OH2 Records.
“Deerock and I connected a while back and decided to remix a track we really loved. The first version was a bit different, and it got turned down by the label who owned the original song. We decided to work a bit more on it, and it became something that felt really special to both of us. I became even more special when we got RVLE to hop on as well. Slowly is truly a mood booster.” – Tollef
Slowly is a confident, happy and funky tune with mojo. The song captures the intense uncertainty of love — navigating the fear of not knowing if someone feels the same way. it’s about hoping that if they don’t, they’ll at least ‘let you down slowly’. It fits perfectly for a car ride with your friends or the pregame of a night out. The song is the first of five tracks building the Commence EP, focused around the story of the tortoise and the hare. But in this story, the tortoise falls in love with the hare and tries everything to convince her, giving this iconic children’s story a funny twist. “Slowly (feat. RVLE)” is out now on all mayor streaming platforms.
