Beginning June 28th Magic Kingdom guests looking to enjoy Tiana’s Bayou Adventure starting in late June just got some important updates from Walt Disney World as to how the queue will work. Yes, there will be a virtual queue, as TRON Lightcycle / Run works today, but the attraction will also be one of the attractions available to book via Genie+, meaning you won’t need to spend extra on an Individual Lightning Lane to secure a spot.
Request to join the virtual queue via the My Disney Experience app at one of two times: 7 am or 1 pm. Disney has stated a standby queue will not be available at the attraction’s opening. However, they do anticipate switching from a virtual queue to a standby queue ‘soon’ after the opening.
Annual Passholder Previews
Preview dates for Annual Passholders have also been announced. There are 7 preview days where Passholders will be eligible to join a virtual queue to secure their time to ride Tiana’s Bayou Adventure. Passholder previews dates are June 13, 14, 16, 17, 18 & 20.
There will be two chances to join the virtual queue each day. Annual Passholders who have a Magic Kingdom park reservation for that day, can try to join the queue at 7am. Annual passholders with a reservation at any theme park, can attempt to join the virtual queue at the 1pm time. As a reminder, Passholders must have entered the theme park where they have a reservation before visiting Magic Kingdom. However, subject to capacity, June 13, 14, 17, 18 or 20, the Magic Kingdom is available to enter after 2 pm even if you haven’t visited your reservation park first.
Planning to visit TRON Lightcycle / Run or Guardians of the Galaxy: Cosmic Rewind on the same day? Don’t sweat it! During Passholder previews, you can join the virtual queue for one of these attractions and Tiana’s Bayou Adventure simultaneously, if available. This is only valid during Passholder previews.
About Tiana’s Bayou Adventure
Guests will join Princess Tiana and her jazz-loving alligator friend, Louis, on an enchanting journey through a shimmering bayou. As Tiana and her friends prepare for a lively Mardi Gras celebration, you’ll encounter familiar faces and make new friends, immersing yourself in the next exciting chapter of Tiana’s inspiring story.
Remember TBA is a log boat attraction which means there’s a good chance you’ll get soaked on your journey. Bring any ponchos or plastic bags to protect electronics and wallets you want to keep dry.
