The Jesus Lizard have released “Moto(R),” the final single before the September 13th release of their comeback album Rack.
The most raucous of the three singles from the album, “Moto(R)” stays true to its title with a driving tempo and guitar leads that are borderline heavy metal. The rants and raves of frontman David Yow are a bit more indistinguishable here, but he still manages to wrangle out hooky vocal phrases in unlikely places.

“It’s not Motörhead,” stated guitarist Duane Denison of the song in a press release, “and it’s not Radiohead either…”
The video for the track is a bit less high-concept compared to that of “Alexis Feels Sick,” featuring live footage that should get fans geared up for the band’s forthcoming US tour. Yow is his typical unhinged self, falling into the crowd at one point in the Jon Tucker-directed clip.
Dates for the run kick off September 7th with an appearance at the Hopscotch Music Festival, and continue through a December 18th gig in Atlanta (get tickets here). The Jesus Lizard also have a tour of UK/Ireland on the books for January, and West Coast US gigs slated for next May.
