Taylor Swift Set to Release ‘Red (Taylor’s Version)’

Musicians like to look forward rather than backwards. Taylor Swift normally has this mindset in her career; however she is doing everything she can to reclaim her artistic freedom. Earlier in the year, her publishing company sold the rights to her music without permission. In order to reclaim her first six albums, she is re-recording them. While this may be a difficult process because musicians are always working on the next song (which is understandable because they live for recording and performing music), it is exciting to hear Swift re-create some of her biggest hits.

Based on some information she uploaded to Tik Tok, the fans are assuming that her next release will be Red (Taylor’s Version).

Red was originally released in 2012. While it is not confirmed if the new version will release before the end of 2021, it may release in 2022 on the ten-year anniversary of the release of the original album. There is also speculation that she could have a surprise release before Nov. 19 to not compete with Adele’s new album, which is expected to do extremely well.

The great news is that re-releasing Red marks her fourth re-recorded album, leaving only two more to go. It is probably a grueling process, but it’s almost over. Pretty soon she will have the master copies of the re-recordings of her first six albums, and then she can focus on creating new music, which is something she is probably eager to get back to.

It has also been confirmed that Red (Taylor’s Version) will feature the re-recording of the songs on the original album and the deluxe version. The album will have 30 tracks.
