Twenty-three years after its release, System of a Down‘s massive hit song “Toxicity” is now a member of Spotify’s Billions Club. Whether you actually noticed or gave a shit about that is up to you, though.
Today’s news means that this is the second System of a Down song to make the coveted playlist, which proves that “Toxicity” has generated enough revenue through the platform to buy a six foot sub from Wawa or something. Still, it joins the band’s other song “Chop Suey,” as well as other tracks like Kiss’ “I Was Made For Loving You” and Metallica’s “Nothing Else Matters.”
For those that don’t know, the Billions Club was started in 2020. Since its inception, more than 500 tracks have been added by curators.
Given the fact that there’s not going to be any new music from the band anytime soon, at least this is something for fans to get excited over. That is, unless they’re able to afford and attend one of the handful of live shows the band plays…
