The Italian Dolomites are without a question one of the most dramatic alpine destinations in the world. There are driving, cycling, skiing, or hiking, over there, by the sheer cliffs, vertical walls, craggy pinnacles, karst plateaus, idyllic valleys, and alpine pastures. There are many things that define the Italian Dolomiti landscape and plenty of artistic inspiration for any artist. The beautiful colors of the Dolomites mountains are a real dream to paint. This great cruise past the Cinque Torri near Cortina in the Dolomites is a favorite view for the artists in the area. This painting picks up on the great colors in the mountains to give a truly spectacular work of art, which I am sure the lovers of the Dolomites and art in general will adore.
Here, mountain peaks slash the sky and light up in fiery shades of crimson and violet (Enrosadira). There are soaring pinnacles, cattle graze on undulating alpine pastures. The dazzling contrast between rocky mountains and silky meadows makes the sightseeing spectacular. In the breaks in between work, artists can go via ferrata climbing, mountain biking, and paragliding. One amazing trip in general.

Italian Dolomites are UNESCO world heritage site since 2009, found in Italy’s North-eastern Alps, split between the provinces of Trento, Belluno, Bolzano, Pordenone and Udine. If we imagine flying above, we see some isolated mountain groups very close to each other. The colors range from the white mountain tops, the grey rocks and great green basins, where the green represents the sea and the grey some ancient ocean atolls, which more or less explains the geological history of this unique, incredible place.
