After viewing the official trailer for Shotgun Wedding, it is apparent that the screenplay will depict the unexpected. In the first parts of the plot, everything seems to be going perfectly. Perhaps a little too smoothly as the story unfolds with the perfect expression of romantic comedy. However, after the audience is invested in this world, they are taken on a journey filled with obstacles preventing them from capturing true love. The screenplay starts out with the idea that everything is going amazingly and then the world is shaken and viewers get to see how far each character is willing to go to protect their pursuit of love and happiness.
What is extremely interesting about this story is finding out who is going to survive? We’ve seen Jennifer Lopez in many other romantic comedies, and she always has a memorable performance that her fans seem to enjoy. However, in Shotgun Wedding, we see J.Lo confront some obstacles that are not seen in her previous films within the genre. For example, she is about to get married when the island she’s on gets taken over by pirates who want to keep all the wedding attendees as hostages. It is up to the almost newly-weds to save everyone on the island. In this pursuit, they are going to learn how to throw grenades, zip-line, and a shoot a shotgun. This film looks like it is going to be fun and filled with some awesome action and humor.
In addition to J.Lo, the star-studded cast includes Josh Duhamel, Jennifer Coolidge, Lenny Kravitz, Cheech Marin, and Sônia Braga.
