Netflix has officially granted a straight-to-series order to the upcoming Silicon Valley-set thriller titled, Thumblite, with Oscar nominee Rosamund Pike attached to lead the cast. The project hails from The Bourne Ultimatum and Contagion scribe Scott Z. Burns.
“The series examines the schemes, rivalries, visions, and obsessions of the power brokers and their underlings as they vie for control of the most powerful industry the world has ever known,” reads the logline.
Who is involved in Thumblite?
Thumblite will be written, created, and executive produced by Burns, who will also be set as the showrunner. This marks his latest TV project after serving as the showrunner on Apple TV+’s 2023 anthology miniseries Extrapolations. In addition to leading the project, Pike has also signed on as an executive producer alongside Scott Galloway, Michael Ellenberg, Greg Jacobs, and Lindsey Springer.
Besides the upcoming thriller series, Pike is also currently starring as Moiraine Damodred in Prime Video’s The Wheel of Time, which is expected to return for a third season. She is also currently attached to star in a few movies, including the thriller film Hallow Road with Matthew Rhys, the action-adventure In the Grey with Henry Cavill, and the heist thriller Now You See Me 3 with Jesse Eisenberg.
