This summer has been filled with ups and downs and, well, life.
I got lucky enough to spend some wonderful days traveling during these past two months. We went to Stockholm and Copenhagen for the very first time with my sister! I absolutely fell in love with Stockholm, the city, the vibes, the nature, it all was just very chill and peaceful and, I don’t know. There’s something about this city that somehow won my heart. Copenhagen was absolutely lovely, as well, (if way too expensive, if I’m being honest and a little more crowded, somehow). Still, these were such wonderful little escapes and I’m so grateful for life to has allowed me to go there a little bit. It’s been good for my mental health, too, to get away a little bit. Then, we went back and traveled with my partner for a couple of days to Bretagne, a beautiful (highly popular in the summer) region in the West of France and I just, love, that’s all.
September will come with its sets of new challenges, I guess. Back to work full time, a looooooot of things to do personally with my upcoming book (more on that below). I’m sad that summer’s coming to an end, fall and winter always brings on some new kind of mental health funks, so. Let’s hope for the best!
Monthly Reading Wrap-Up
It’s been a strange, yet lovely mix of reading this summer. I’ve been getting into re-reading a little more and enjoying it SO much – honestly, I think this might turn into a regular thing. I also read some recent releases I really enjoyed!
Overall, I read 4 books a month approximately, so that’s a pretty good average for me.
PAST PRESENT FUTURE ☂️ Obsessed with Rachel Lynn Solomon’s book, loved this excellent sequel, I cried, I smiled, I just love everything she writes? ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
ALWAYS NEVER YOURS☂️ Wibbroka, forever my favorite author duo. It’s been a long time coming and I’m so glad I re-read this excellent YA contemporary romance. My heart was happy. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
CRIER’S WAR ☂️ Still obsessed with this series? Same here, I’ve been wanting to re-read this for a long time, now and I’m so glad I did. I was nervous not to love it as much as I did and… turns out I loved it EVEN MORE. If you’re looking for anything to read, read this. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
GIRLS WHO BURN ☂️ One of my most anticipated reads of the year here! I had fun reading this one overall, it was entertaining and a page-turner overall, I had fun! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
WHERE ARE YOU, ECHO BLUE ☂️ WHAT did I just read. Celebrity obsession, feeling the child Disney stars vibes here and omg. Exactly the kind of book I love. I’m obsessed. Also, Hayley Krischer is becoming a fav author for sure. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
A SONG TO DROWN RIVERS ☂️ Ann Liang writes fantasy, I couldn’t NOT read that one. I always have a bit of a hard time getting into these kind of books (which is completely personal!), but once I did get into this, woah. That ending messed me up. While I still prefer Ann Liang’s contemporary books, this one was really good, as well! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
WINDFALL ☂️ There’s something deeply comforting about Jennifer E. Smith’s books. I had this one on my TBR for ages and just, like, devoured it. It was fun, entertaining, heartwarming and just, great. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
LAST SEEN ONLINE ☂️ Lauren James always writes the most unique kind of stories. I loved this one mixing Hollywood stardom, fandom and mystery all at once and the mixed media, just excellent. I wish I could have felt for the main character a bit more, but still a whirlwind of a ride! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
BUSINESS OR PLEASURE ☂️ Rachel Lynn Solomon never disappoints with excellent, highly relatable main characters. I had a lot of fun reading this one, even if my heart always goes back to her YA books a little bit more. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
Goodreads challenge: 33/45 books
I’m actually ahead of my challenge, so that’s nice!
ICYMI, I’m PUBLISHING my first YA contemporary book THIS FALL 2024 (yes this deserves all caps because I’m screaming). If you missed my announcement post, you can read it right here.
It’s been an eventful month filled with ups, downs and lots of work for my debut book. So many things to think about, to set up. I want to make sure everything is as perfect as it can be, and that takes time. With every step, it feels more real, more terrifying and exciting all at once. I just can’t wait and I’m also, well, terrified, aerm.
I’m SO excited for this upcoming month! I just received my very first physical proof copy of my book and, yeah, I kind of felt -still do- like crying, holding my book in my hands.
September WILL (!!!!) be the month I share with you all my BOOK COVER, as well as my OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE and open pre-orders officially. Like, we’re counting in DAYS, friends. So. Yeah, I’m nervous and pumped and can’t wait to share it all with you!!

Well, August has been absolutely abysmal when it comes to blogging. That should come as no surprise, though. I’ve been busy with traveling, busy with work, busy with working on setting everything up for my debut and…well, something had to fall on the back-burner for a little while. Unfortunately, it had to be blogging.
I’m still really eager and hopeful to get back to writing a little bit for the blog. Every time I get back to writing on here, even if it’s just for a wrap-up, I realize just how much I’m enjoying this, no matter how little people get to read book blogs, now.
Anyway! I’ll see what happens this September.
