The newly renamed Prospect Musicals will honor three members of the theatre community during the company’s 25th Anniversary Gala September 30 at The Edison Ballroom.
Receiving Muse Awards will be Tony-winning director and actor Michael Arden (Parade, Maybe Happy Ending), arts advocate and author Kendall Crolius, and Tony recipient Baayork Lee (A Chorus Line).
Drama Desk Award winner Jay Armstrong Johnson (Parade, The Phantom of the Opera) and Jaygee Macapugay (Suffs, Here Lies Love) will co-host the event, celebrating the company’s 25 years of pioneering, developing, and producing new musical theatre works.
Attendees can expect cocktails, dinner, and entertainment to be announced.
“Prospect is thrilled to honor the 2024 Muse Awardees, whose work has inspired us through our 25 years of creativity,” said Producing Artistic Director Cara Reichel in a statement. “We can’t wait to sing their praises as we look ahead to the company’s next chapter of serving our community.”
