Lost star Matthew Fox is set to star in The Assassin, a new drama series in the works at Max, according to a recent report from Deadline.
The series will come from writer-producer John Glenn (SEAL Team), who serves as showrunner and will also write the book based on the critically acclaimed book series by novelist Tom Wood.
What is The Assassin about?
The series will follow the story of an assassin known as Victor (Fox), who is betrayed by a client and goes on the run as he’s hunted and tracked by tons of people, including CIA operatives and other hitmen.
“To stay alive, Victor must uncover the identity of his betrayer while grappling with a buried spark of humanity that begins to resurface within him and might just be the greatest threat to his survival,” reads the logline for the series. Currently, no other casting information on The Assassin is available.
Fox is best known for his role in the hit ABC drama Lost, which earned him both Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for his performance. Most recently, Fox has appeared in the Australian comedy series Caught, and before that was the star of the Peacock limited series Last Light.
