A decade ago, Mark Duplass and Patrick Brice embarked on an ambitious project that would evolve into one of the most chilling and creatively unsettling horror films of recent years. Their film, ‘Creep’, classified as found footage, features Brice’s character, Aaron, who encounters a psychopath portrayed by Duplass. The film’s disturbing nature leaves viewers feeling uneasy and has made it a cult favourite among horror enthusiasts. Garnering critical acclaim with a 91% approval rating on Rotten Tomatoes, ‘Creep’ quickly became a must-see for fans of the genre, leading to a sequel.
Now that the franchise has expanded, audiences are eager to see how Duplass and Brice will continue the tale of the eerie character Peachfuzz. After two successful feature films, the duo is shifting gears to create a series. In a recent conversation with Collider’s Emily Bernard, they discussed Duplass’ role as a producer on the upcoming series, ‘Out There: Crimes of the Paranormal’, and hinted at the future of the ‘Creep’ saga.

Duplass revealed, “We created something called The Creep Tapes, which is a six-episode television series where I star in each episode as the titular character. It premieres on November 15 on AMC+ and Shudder.” He also noted that they produced the series independently, allowing them the freedom to explore their bizarre ideas without studio constraints, mirroring their approach to the films.
Unlike the films, each episode of ‘The Creep Tapes’ will focus on a different serial killer victim, maintaining the collaborative vision that defined the earlier instalments. For those looking to revisit the original, ‘Creep’ is currently available to stream on Netflix.
