Misemotional is the newly released EP from Swedish sibling duo sixten (formerly Strandels). The mini-album is six songs long, and arrived alongside the focus track, “Atlantic”.
“Atlantic” is a melody-laden pop-rock song that captures the emotional depth that Tova and Sigge Strandell explore throughout the EP. With sad lyrics and stirring delivery, “Atlantic” conveys a sense of longing and loss. It was written by duo alongside Johan Lindbrandt, and produced by Kevin Andersson and Theo Stocks.
Commenting on the whole EP, sixten remark, “When tragedy strikes or love hits you hard, many emotions can surge. Sometimes you’re unsure whether to allow yourself to feel intensely and express it, or to tone yourself down and bottle up your emotions. The songs on the EP reflect both extremes – one moment, you’re almost burning up, and the next, you’re frozen.”
Misemotional presents listeners a gripping experience. Stream the whole EP below on Spotify and follow sixten on Instagram.
