Kim Kardashian is continuing to flaunt the weight she’s dropped this year.
The 41-year-old mogul made Met Gala headlines for fitting into a dress once worn by Marilyn Monroe – while she lost 16 pounds to squeeze into it, she’s since lost more weight for a total of 21 pounds.
Showing off her slimmed-down figure recently, Kim posted to Instagram to promote a new drop from her SKIMS brand, going for an underwear look and drawing attention to her toned abs and tiny waist. The mom of four founded her brand in 2019 and has since built it into an empire.
Posing in a sheer bra and black leggings while showing off her blonde hair, Kim told fans: “SKIMS Bras launch on Tuesday, September 27 at 9AM PT only on SKIMS.COM.”
Kim has opened up on her weight loss. “It was such a challenge. It was like a [movie] role. I was determined to fit [into] it. I haven’t had carbs or sugar in about three weeks,” she Vogue. “We’re having a pizza and donut party back at the hotel [after the gala].” That said, many have criticized the star for promoting weight loss to fit into a dress.
“Kim Kardashian saying she had to lose 16 lbs in 3 weeks to fit in that Met Gala dress and stating it like its some great accomplishment and not just insane is… a problem,” one user wrote on Twitter.
Meanwhile, SKIMS has been busy on Instagram as it gears up for its drop later this month. In a recent IG share, the label wrote: “Coming September 27 – SKIMS Bras: a complete system of shaping solutions that won’t be the first thing you take off when you get home. Launching Tues Sept 27th.”
SKIMS comes as just a part of Kim’s brand portfolio – the star is also CEO of her SKKN by Kim skincare line. “The ritual was born out of Kim’s dream to bridge the gap between the world’s most renowned dermatological experts and people at home seeking high-quality skincare,” the brand tells shoppers, adding: “Comprised of nine core products, the ritual was developed to soothe, hydrate, and restore radiance.”
Also running a skincare line is sister Kylie Jenner.
