Kevin Rumley is a singer-songwriter from Asheville, North Carolina who released his new EP, VI, last month, from which we shared one of its standouts: “For Clifford.”
“Stay Alive” is a big dreamy blend of psych-infused rock with a colorful and vibrant nature, that weaves in and out of elements of rock, folk, indie, and a soulful lush nature that is something completely of its own. It carries elements of acts such as Richard Swift, Jim James of My Morning Jacket, and Tame Impala.
Or as he puts it:
It’s an uplifting song, shouting out for more time to ‘stay alive.’
