Ye is, at least according to a new report, now a “named suspect” in connection with an alleged misdemeanor battery incident in the Downtown Los Angeles area.
Per TMZ, who cited law enforcement sources in their initial report on Thursday, the artist formerly known as Kanye West was first involved in a verbal disagreement near the Soho Warehouse club in DTLA. The argument is alleged to have eventually grown into a physical incident, with the report noting that Ye is alleged to have “pushed someone.”
In a short video clip included in the TMZ report, Ye is seen asking someone “Did y’all say that or not?” The clip was reportedly captured Wednesday night/early Thursday.
Complex has reached out a rep for Ye for comment, as well as to the Los Angeles Police Department.
This alleged incident took place on the same evening as a Delilah (located in West Hollywood) visit from Ye and Julia Fox, with the two—as was also initially reported by TMZ—sharing a kiss in front of the cameras outside. In the latest episode of her Spotify-exclusive podcast Forbidden Fruits with co-host Niki Takesh, Fox spoke candidly of her and Ye’s “very inspirational” connection.

The new couple recently hit the streets of New York City for quite the second date. Kanye West and his girlfriend Julia Fox are said to ‘not be serious’
A source close to Kanye, 44, told E! News that the hitmaker has “expressed it’s not serious” between him and Julia, adding, “He’s not looking for anything right now and is really focused on his business.”
However, it’s not just Kanye who feels this way, as the insider told the outlet: “She’s having fun and taking it day by day, but being a mom to her son is her number one priority.”
The Uncut Gems star shares a 11-month-old son Valentino with ex-husband and pilot Peter Artemiev.
The source continued: “Kanye and Julia hit it off from the very first interaction they had. He truly loved her energy and passionate personality and knew she would be a perfect person to bounce creative ideas off of. He thinks she has refreshing energy and they are having a lot of fun.”
They concluded: “Kanye is always working on something creative and Julia is definitely his latest muse. He had a vision for her and that’s what inspired their date. He was bouncing off all these plans for his ideas, and she happily gave in and obliged.”
Despite the belief that their relationship may not be serious, another source previously told Page Six that Kanye is only dating the actress to upset his ex-wife Kim Kardashian, 41.
The insider noted: “It’s a desperate play for attention. There’s no other explanation when he chooses … [Julia] to go public with.”
The outlet reported Kanye is “clearly hurting” and his new relationship is a “ploy to get under ex Kim’s skin.”
The source added: “He publicly fights for his family back, and then he’s linked to all these different girls. It’s very strange.”
The entertainer has previously called for his ex to “run back to” him.
The Sun also reported that Kim feels the public dates with Julia are a “desperate attempt to make her jealous.”
KIM STICKS WITH PETE
The Keeping Up With the Kardashians alum, who shares four kids with Kanye, has moved on and is now dating Saturday Night Live star Pete Davidson.
The two even jetted off to a private resort on the Abaco Islands in the Bahamas to spend the first few days of the new year together.
Meanwhile, Julia revealed details of her second date with Kanye and said he took her to see Slave Play, to dinner at Carbone, and all the while set up an extravagant photoshoot by Kevin Leyva with Interview Magazine.

In some of the snaps Julia, 31, straddled Kanye as the dimly orange lit photos had the pair laughing and making out.

“Ye had an entire hotel suite full of clothes. It was every girl’s dream come true. It felt like a real Cinderella moment.

In fact, she actually has a good feeling about Julia, given the fact that she’s a “fan” of the Kardashian family.
Sources close to the KKW Beauty mogul say she’s happy to see her ex happy and wants “to see him end up with a good person,” according to the outlet.
The insider noted that Kim is leaving the judgment up to Kanye.
They also said that Kim is thrilled Julia’s into the Kardashians.
She hopes it will help make co-parenting easier should the Donda rapper decide to introduce her to his kids.
