Jessica Simpson is showing off her inner yogi for a pool-set workout featuring daughter Birdie Mae. The 41-year-old fashion mogul continues to make headlines for having dropped 100 pounds, and it looks like she’s up for sharing how she keeps the weight off.
Posting to Instagram this month, the Dukes of Hazzard star went fun for her “yogis” post, showing off the fancy pool at her L.A. home and making it a family occasion with her 2019-born daughter.
Shot chest deep in waters and enjoying the sunshine, the Jessica Simpson Style founder went fun and goofy as she rested her hands at the shallow end of the pool while stretching her legs out behind her and raising her chest up towards the sky.
Pouting in shades, the blonde stunned in a multicolor bikini, with Birdie seen next to her mother and keeping up with a twinning move. “Pool yogis,” Jessica wrote as fans left over 40,000 likes.
Jessica joins fellow celebrity yogis including singer Miley Cyrus and sitcom star Jennifer Aniston. The star is also known for getting her workouts in early, before the “kiddos” are up.
In 2019, Jessica’s trainer Harley Pasternak opened up to Hollywood Life on what his client ate to drop her 100 pounds, this as she also walked up to 10,000 steps per day to shift the weight.
“She would eat one whole egg and three egg whites for breakfast, scrambled with a bowl of blackberries. For lunch she would have a salad with grilled chicken and grilled fish with salad and vegetables for dinner. As for snacks, she would have almonds and sometimes green beans with Parmesan cheese on top. She was very disciplined,” he said. Harley also revealed that Jessica was swapping out many of her carbs with lower-calorie cauliflower instead.
“I think it’s one of the tools in the toolbox. It is a vegetable. I tell people have as many vegetables as you can. The popularity of cauliflower rice has become bigger in the last three, four years. It is a way to reduce the starch in your diet. So that is the popular thing. I think that was big for Keto,” he added.
Jessica does treat herself, though, including with mac and cheese. The actress has revealed having gained 100 pounds during her third pregnancy – she tipped the scale in the “high two-hundreds.” Jessica is a mother to kids Maxwell, Ace, and Birdie Mae, all shared with former NFL player husband Eric Decker.
