After the most recent update was made to the Microsoft Store, iTunes has become unavailable to Windows users. They will instead see a message that reads iTunes is currently not available. This is a difficult roadblock for iTunes users that use Windows operating system. However, some analysts in the tech community are thinking that this might be an opportunity for Apple Music to be accessed on Windows in the near future.
Unfortunately, as of today, the Windows version of the iTunes app is no longer available for download.
This is not a glitch; it was a deliberate decision to not offer the program any longer. Many people that use both iTunes and Windows are wondering why this is the case and if the platform will co-exist in some form in the future.
Some people are optimistic as they think that another iOS service for music may be coming to Windows sometime soon. Others think there was a business disagreement between Apple and Microsoft which led to the removal of the app. According to Windows Report, there is no data to suggest that the two tech giants had any professional issues with each other. They instead suggest that Apple Music is coming to the Microsoft Store to replace the iTunes app.
Also it is important to note that Windows version 11 will be available as a free download on Oct. 5. It is realistic to assume that Apple may be deciding to put its app on the latest version of the Windows operating system rather than Windows 10.
The only way to know for sure is to check the Microsoft Store on the Windows 11 platform to see if Apple will be featuring any apps on the new operating system from the beginning.
