Los Angeles-based indie-electronic duo Clay and Kelsy retuned last Thursday with “Memories of Me”, a moody and pensive song billed as the fourth single from their upcoming debut EP, I Am.
“Memories of Me” delves into the choking desperation that comes after self-destruction. The track is both evocative and mesmerizing. Produced by the duo, and mastered by GRAMMY-award winning engineer John Greenham, it is stacked with layers of organic instruments and synths.
About “Memories of Me”, Clay and Kelsy comment, “This song is an endless loop, a funeral march of one’s self. In the ruins of a shattered relationship, one person faces their own destruction. The moments that become memories are sacred spaces in our hearts, fragile and unprotected, ready to burst like a dam. Will you remember me?“
I Am promises to an interesting EP. This song ensures that fans of Clay and Kelsy will be eagerly sitting in anticipation of the album. Follow the duo on Instagram for prompt updates regarding their next releases.
