In the above audio clip, I am reciting some of the lines of a monologue I had created during a freewriting exercise. Even though I wasn’t taking the dialogue too seriously, it was fun to be able to use language in the dramatic writing format. I would like to do more monologue writing and other forms of dramatic literature, but right now I am more focused on arts journalism. It’s very difficult to create within multiple mediums, and to do the kind of work online that I am setting out to do requires an intense focus on only journalism type content.
