The mystery surrounding the paternity of Gypsy Rose Blanchard‘s unborn child will remain unresolved for the time being, as she and her estranged husband, Ryan Anderson, have opted to postpone the DNA test.
As The Blast reported, Ryan recently acknowledged that the paternity of her unborn child remains unresolved. In a TikTok livestream on Saturday, August 10, the 38-year-old informed his followers that he must undergo a DNA test to determine whether he or Ken Urker, Gypsy’s current fiancé, is the father.
This is necessary because Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s pregnancy occurred as she and Ryan Anderson are still legally married under Louisiana state law.

Gypsy Rose Files For Divorce From Ryan
“People have been asking what is going on in my life,” she said earlier this year. “Unfortunately, my husband and I are going through a separation, and I moved in with my parent’s home down the bayou. I have the support of my family and friends to help guide me through this. I am learning to listen to my heart. Right now, I need time to let myself find… who I am.”
She has since rekindled her romance with Ken, and the two announced they are expecting in July.

Ryan Anderson And Gypsy Rose Blanchard To Wait On DNA Test
While last week, Ryan said he “has to take a DNA test for court” due to “the way the timeline matches up,” he and his estranged wife have seemingly come to an agreement to wait on taking the test until after the baby is born.
Sources close to the special education teacher told TMZ that he and Gypsy have agreed to delay the paternity testing until after the birth. The decision comes as they believe that waiting until the child is born will be more convenient and cost-effective.
According to the outlet, a pre-birth paternity test can range from $500 to $2,000, while a post-birth test is significantly cheaper, costing between $150 and $200.
While Gypsy has previously stated that her fiancé, Ken is the father of the baby, fans think otherwise.

Legal Update on Gypsy Rose Blanchard’s Unborn Child
In July, a Louisiana attorney informed People that Ryan could be listed as the father on Gypsy’s baby’s birth certificate if the child is born before their divorce is finalized.
Under Louisiana law, if the mother is married to someone other than the biological father at the time of conception or if the divorce has been finalized less than 300 days before the birth, the husband or ex-husband is presumed to be the father unless paternity is otherwise established.
For Ken to be named on the birth certificate, Ryan would need to sign an affidavit acknowledging Ken as the father. Should Ryan refuse, Ken would have to file a court motion, which would then force a DNA test for all three parties to establish paternity.

Should the DNA results confirm Ken as the father, his name will officially replace Ryan’s on the birth certificate.
Skepticism Surrounds Paternity Claims
Amid ongoing speculation due to the brief period between Gypsy’s separation from Ryan and her new relationship with Ken, some fans are questioning the paternity of her baby.
In response to the swirling rumors, the 33-year-old addressed the issue directly in a social media video discussing her love life, making it clear that she has had enough of the controversy surrounding her situation.
“Left Ryan March 23rd, had a period April 17th, made love with Ken and only him April 27, 28, 29, 30, and conceived on May 24th,” she said in a video, per The Blast‘s previous report. “Positive test on May 24th. KEN IS THE FATHER.”

Gypsy stood by those claims in a recent “Good Morning America” interview, saying, “It was mid-March when I left Ryan. So, this is absolutely 100% Ken’s baby. There was never any question of paternity.”
