Glen Josselsohn is a determined, focused and creative visual artist who was a member of the online community on Art Bracket LLC’s previous website. We had the opportunity to learn about the artist’s approach to making his creations. He uses a technique where he will paint canvases with a swift, dicey movement of the hands in order to give the effect that the artwork has been created by paint that has been spontaneously slashed on canvas.
Glen appeared on Top Billing, a South African television show that goes in depth on how artists create and what their inspirations are. Even though the television program is for a local audience, when the episodes are uploaded to the internet it becomes something that can be appreciated globally. The expansion of programs like Top Billing within other territories could provide more opportunities for artists to display their works. It’s difficult enough to get visual art to be displayed by the top museums and galleries in the world, but broadcasting them on television and the internet may develop an audience for visual artists.
At this point in his career, the artist is connecting to patrons through his official website. There, potential buyers can receive a digital image of any of his artworks in order for them to see how it would look on their wall. This is a great feature because it gives buyers the opportunity to see what the art would look like when displayed before they make a purchase. He is also available to be commissioned to create original artwork as well. According to his official website, artistically he focuses on: dancers cyclist, reeds with birds, robotica, abstract, abstract animals, abstract people, florals and branding.
