The 2021 Emmys was a fun event for participants and audiences alike. It was hosted by comedian Cedric the Entertainer (who just so happens to be from my hometown), and he delivered some funny jokes and sketches throughout the program.
The music that was played in between awards were mostly today’s popular music. The show featured the music being played by a DJ. This was an excellent move, it made the show have a buzzing energy about it from beginning, middle to end.
The streaming services did quite well yet again at the Emmys, particularly Netflix and HBO Max who are always top contenders for awards. This is an indication that the future of TV is going to be more increasingly shown through the streaming services rather than traditional networks.
