Eva Mendes recently gushed about her previous experience working with her longtime partner, fellow actor Ryan Gosling.
During a Tuesday appearance on ABC’s “Good Morning America,” anchor George Stephanopoulos asked her whether she plans to return to acting.
Mendes has often discussed her decision to take a step back from acting to spend more time with her and Gosling’s children, Esmeralda and Amada.
The “Hitch” actor told Stephanopoulos that she didn’t know whether she’ll ever return to the industry.
“If there’s interesting roles,” she said, before noting that she stopped acting about 10 years ago. “I kind of felt like I did it. I just worked with Ryan Gosling … like the best.”
“It was such a high off my career to work with him and what we created together, that I was like, ‘This is a good time to ‘Seinfield’ it and just walk out,’” she said. “So, who knows.”
Gosling and Mendes met while filming the 2012 movie “The Place Beyond the Pines.” Mendes later appeared in a 2014 film, “Lost River,” which was directed by Gosling.
The “Training Day” actor, who’s also a children’s book author and co-owner of sponge company Skura Style, told “Today” in March that her decision to leave the acting world was a “no-brainer.”

“I’m so lucky,” she said at the time about spending time with her kids. “And I still worked, I just didn’t act because acting takes you on locations, it takes you away.”
“It was almost just like a nonverbal agreement, that it was like, ‘OK, [Gosling’s] going to work and I’m going to work — I’m just going to work here,’” she continued.
