Sanders missed three games while recovering from toe surgery during the season before returning for the Tigers’ dramatic come from behind win against rival Southern on Nov. 13.
Due to complications from the surgery he was in a wheelchair when he first returned to the team. He later coached on a scooter like he had for weeks before the surgery. According to videos on his Instagram page he is now able to walk under his own power.
