Two mighty fan bases stand before the box office today in holy matrimony. Colleen Hoover’s on-screen adaptation of It Ends With Us, starring Blake Lively, has joined Deadpool & Wolverine (starring Lively’s husband, Ryan Reynolds) in theaters this weekend. While no one should be Barbenheimer-ing these movies — one is about domestic violence, and one is about comedic violence — it is way more fun to see how the Lively-Reynolds household is taking over the box office. As of Saturday morning, It Ends With Us is estimated to earn $45-49 million during its opening weekend, with Deadpool 3 holding its spot as the no. 1 movie with $55.8 million— the Hollywood couple has dominated the theaters this weekend, after all, they share each other’s wins. And as for how the lone wolf of Borderlands is doing this weekend… it’s divorced and alone, eating cake in the corner of the room.
