David Hockney is a British painter and an important artist in the 1960s pop art movement. Currently, this 83-years old artist often works with his iPad tablet.
Hockney’s work entitled “Remember you cannot look at the sun or death for very long”, will be displayed on a large digital screen in five cities: London, New York, Los Angeles, Seoul, and Tokyo. His work is an animation portraying a very bright sunrise in a green landscape. It encourages people to look at the world’s beauty, even in a tough time, like a pandemic.

During his lockdown in Normandy (France), Hockney created some drawings on his tablet. These pictures depict the natural beauty in spring, like trees that begin to grow, the scenery in the backyard, and the colorful leaves. His bright and colorful paintings suggest a new hope for the world in the midst of a pandemic.
