Cast Complete for Pasadena Playhouse’s Cyrano de Bergerac, Starring Chukwudi Iwuji
Edmond Rostand’s play has been freely adapted by Martin Crimp for the California theatre’s production.
Full casting has been revealed for Pasadena Playhouse’s new production of Edmond Rostand’s Cyrano de Bergerac. The work has been freely adapted by Martin Crimp and is set to run September 4-29 at the California theatre with Mike Donahue (Little Shop of Horrors) directing.Â
The cast will be led by Chukwudi Iwuji (Guardians of the Galaxy) as Cyrano, Rosa Salazar (Alita: Battle Angel) as Roxane, Will Hochman (The Sound Inside) as Christian, and Kimberly Scott (Joe Turner’s Come and Gone) as Madame Ragueneau.Â
They will be joined by Larry Powell (The Gaze), Jens Austin Astrup (Gossip Girl), Aaron Costa Ganis (Bernhardt/Hamlet), E.M. Davis (Richard lll), Christine Lin (Chinglish), Barry Livingston (My Three Sons), Michael Nathanson (The Punisher), Kila Packett (As You Like It), Sawyer Patterson (Romeo and Juliet), Jonathan Slavin (Santa Clarita Diet), and John Garet Stoker (Significant Other). Casting is by RBT Casting (Ryan Bernard Tymensky, CSA).Â
The creative team includes scenic designer Afsoon Pajoufar, costume designer Carolyn Mazuca, lighting designers Josh Epstein and Edward Hansen, sound designer Veronika Vorel, fight director/intimacy coordinator Rachel Lee Flesher, voice/text coach Christine Adaire, stage manager Colleen Danaher, and assistant stage managers Jessica Keasberry-Vnuk and Kimberly Sanchez Garrido.Â
As previously reported, Pasadena Playhouse’s season also includes new stagings of La Cage aux Folles and Topdog/Underdog, along with special concert presentations of Anything Goes and Follies.
