Cardi B has once again shut down rumors that she is facing any kind of financial difficulty, to the point that she may be losing her home.
In a since-deleted post on X (formerly Twitter) on Sunday (August 4), the Bronx rapper quoted a tweet in which a user on the platform had shared screenshots of an article from British tabloid The Sun which suggested she may be millions behind on her mortgage. Along with the photos, the person called Cardi’s financial health into account.
“First of all, The Sun is posting rumors that y’all are making up and sending blind items about… that’s why it’s NO DOCUMENTS, just word of mouth,” she wrote. “Everybody gets a loan to buy a house and I never been behind on any of them.. i bought my house in 2021 and put almost 12 million in it now look how much I got left.
“I’m very responsible with money, my bills come before luxury and I just spent 400 thousand on jewelry this month because I also still know how to BUDGET… stop playin wit me.”
The “Press” rapper also included a series of screenshots of text messages from someone appearing to be her publicist or manager, communicating with Cardi and someone else about the erroneous headline in The Sun. As of this writing, the article which prompted Cardi’s response seems to have been taken down.
According to Page Six, the soon-to-be mother of three, made a similar post on Monday (August 29), in response to rumors that she and Offset were trying to sell their Atlanta home “amid a ‘secret’ financial crisis.”

This was the second time in as many days that Cardi B used social media to address incorrect reports about her personal life.
On Saturday (August 3), the “Bodak Yellow” rapper took to the comments section of a Jasmine Brand Instagram post to respond to its summary of a recent article from People.
The article, published on Friday (August 2), quoted an “exclusive source” giving insight into what caused Cardi to file for divorce from her husband earlier this week.
The source told People: “As a mom, she expects a partner that contributes fully and that puts the family first. This just wasn’t happening. In general, he just doesn’t support her like a husband should. She needs good vibes and positive energy only in her life.”
Cardi took issue with this, writing in the comments: “Ok this is getting weird cause I can say he helps me a lot with my business and the kids.”
She continued, taking issue with the notion that People‘s source had any inside scoop at all.
“Never in my career no matter what I went through I had friends or family go to the media sooo I don’t know who is this damn source going to people magazine,” she continued.
“Even wit my filling I’m not askin for child support my claim is for him to only pay for the bills he already pays on the kids and the new one.”
