NEWS RELEASE | FOR IMMEDIATE release on Friday, December 24, 2021, at approximately 11:05 pm, officers with the Cape Girardeau Police Department were dispatched to the area of Barberry near Quince Street for a report of suspicious activity. Upon arrival, officers located an adult female standing outside of a residence with apparent blood on her clothing. The female subject was later identified as Brittany A. Wilson, a 32-year-old female from Cape Girardeau. Officers detained Wilson and additional officers entered the home to check up on the safety of any additional residents.
Officers located a deceased male in the basement of the residence who had apparent, fresh stab wounds on his body. This 34-year-old male was later determined to be Wilson’s boyfriend and a resident of the home. The victim’s full identity will not be released until confirmation is received that all of his family members have received proper notification. Wilson was arrested and transported to the Cape Girardeau municipal jail where she was processed without incident. Cape Girardeau investigators presented the facts of this case to the Cape Girardeau County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office.
The Honorable Judge Frank E. Miller has since issued a warrant on Wilson for Murder-1st Degree and Armed Criminal Action. Wilson’s bond is set and $2,000,000.00 cash only. She is currently in custody at the Cape Girardeau municipal jail.1
A Missouri woman was captured grinning from ear to ear in her mug shot after allegedly stabbing her boyfriend to death with a sword, according to police and reports.
Local cops were sent to Brittany Wilson’s home late Friday over a report of “suspicious activity” and discovered her beau dead, the Cape Girardeau Police Department said Saturday in a statement.
Wilson’s live-in partner, identified in local reports as 34-year-old Harrison Stephen Foster, was found just after 11 p.m. in their basement with “fresh stab wounds” on his body, police said.
Wilson had called 911 and admitted to killing her boyfriend with a sword, which officers found on the couple’s lawn, according to CBS affiliate KFVS-12.
Wilson, 32, was arrested at the Barberry Street home, taken to the Cape Girardeau municipal jail, and charged with first-degree murder and armed criminal action, police said. Her bond was set for $2 million cash, the department said.
In the mug shot released Saturday by cops, Wilson wore an orange jumpsuit and a wide smile.
Wilson had confessed to authorities that she and Foster both took methamphetamines earlier Friday, according to the CBS station and NBC affiliate WFLA-18, citing officers and police.
Wilson claimed that Foster had “several other entities living inside his body for the past several months” and so by fatally stabbing him, she was “setting him free,” the NBC station said, citing police.
