BTS, now the most popular boy band in the world, will be having a special performance coming soon to MTV Unplugged on Feb 23. While the group is frequently seen on South Korea telecommunications, they are extraordinarily popular in the U.S. but the country does not get to see them very often. It is always a special event when BTS performs for the U.S. audience because they have so many fans theat enjoy their music and choreography.
While some of the lyrics are in English and others in Korean, their performances stick to the minds of their fans so much that it seems like they know both languages. The band has recently finished up a mini tour where they played top venues around the world, including legendary spaces like Madison Square Garden.
MTV has released a behind-the-scenes trailer for the performance where audiences can see an introduction to the choreography, wardrobe and other production aspects that will be on showcase during the performance.
The MTV Unplugged session was filmed in Seoul, South Korea and will feature songs from the band’s latest album, BE (Deluxe Edition), as well as some of their more popular songs from other albums. The original version of their latest album released last November; however, the Deluxe Version will be available starting Feb 19.
In edition to playing a set on MTV Unplugged, 2021 is shaping up to be a good year for BTS. They are nominated for a Grammy with their single “Dynamite” from their latest album. The nomination will be in the best pop duo/group performance category, which is their first English language single. The award show will take place on March 14.

Twitter has announced that BTS is the most popular musical act over the last four years, based on number of tweets and content shared on the social media platform. Some of the other high-ranking acts include Drake, Kanye West and Beyonce. This information arrives as Twitter has collected and shared the number and types of tweets that the artist generate.
The company found that BTS is the most tweeted about music group from 2016 to 2020, and they are likely to be number one again in 2021. Their fanbase is incredible all over the world; BTS is a phenomenon that the music industry has never seen before. The way that they mix Korean culture with hip-hop is a relatively new style of music and culture that so many people appreciate.
BTS’ songs “Dynamite”, “ON”, “Black Swan” and “Life Goes On” were the top four most tweeted about tracks of 2020. BTS’ social media content represents about 6.7 billion tweets in 2020, which is a 10 percent increase from their Twitter volume from 2019.
Most of the Tweets came from their fans in Indonesia and India, followed by South Korea, the Philippines and the U.S. The fans worldwide will be watching them at the Grammy’s on March 14. If their song “Dynamite” wins the award it will make the band the first-ever K-Pop group to do so at the American music show.
