Avengers Endgame – Film Review

Avengers: Endgame was a great film for ending the decade as it featured many of the popular characters from the comic books, cartoons and even newly created ones. This film has a lot of surprises in terms of the characters that appear throughout the movie and of course the last battle scene. In there are some big surprises in the last hour of the film, which I will not spoil, I would recommend downloading the Disney+ app and find out who these mystery characters are.

The first hour of the film builds the stories around the main Avengers characters. Some of them were out of shape and needed to train in order to get back into superhero formation. Others were curious about their new mission and the ability to bring it to a resolution. In order for that to happen, the characters would need to acquire all six of the infinity stones.

Even though it is an action movie, there is a lot of good acting taking place while the Avengers are getting prepared for the ultimate battle. Each character has their own strengths and weaknesses, which make the battle sequences interesting as audience will wonder exactly how they are going to get past the rival army in the end.

Avengers Endgame is not a commercial for upcoming Marvel films like the previous ones in the franchise, which has been highlighted by many critics. For example, there are no X-Men characters in the movie because there is a new film that focuses on Jean and her Phoenix powers being released shortly after Endgame.

The last two hours are filled with plot, subplots and a lot of action. Once the film gets beyond the point of discussing the areas in which the Avengers need to increase their capabilities,  the remainder of the movie showcases their new strength and determination to collect the stones and save the world.
