Andreas Niederau-Kaiser, a visionary artist known for his innovative approach to cultural preservation through memplex art, is seeking support for two groundbreaking projects aimed at safeguarding humanity’s legacy. Inspired by the artistic philosophy of Sigmar Polke and driven by a divine calling, Niederau-Kaiser has committed his work to ensuring that cultural information units survive the test of time.
Niederau-Kaiser believes that humanity’s essence cannot be encapsulated through traditional artifacts such as photos, clothing, or daily newspapers. Instead, his vision is to convey the quintessence of human history through artistic representation, primarily focusing on two monumental undertakings:
Time Capsules of Cultural Information: Aimed at preserving pivotal works, such as his self-proclaimed “Monologue with the Cosmos,” a book he describes as having been written by the hand of gods. Alongside this, the “Timeline-World-History” will question the repeatability of life and humanity’s cosmic role. Niederau-Kaiser envisions creating reinforced concrete time capsules (50 x 50 x 50 cm) to be hidden in locations across the world’s oceans.
Oversized Chess Set: Niederau-Kaiser is also conceptualizing a colossal chess set where each piece, standing at least seven meters tall, would be cast in either concrete or bronze. He is seeking a sponsor to fund both the production of the pieces and to provide a location for their installation.
The artist is now calling on financial backers to help him achieve these lofty goals. The funds will support transportation and travel for Niederau-Kaiser and his team to various oceanic locations for the installation of the time capsules. Alternatively, sponsors can back the creation of the oversized chess set, a project described as “a game of kings” meant to embody profound philosophical meaning through art.
