Alicia Silverstone Shared A Concerning TikTok Video
The “Clueless” star has fans concerned for her safety and well-being after she shared a video on TikTok showing what she did while walking around England.
“I’ve discovered something that I can’t figure out what it is and I need your help,” Silverstone said to the camera as she held up a small, round fruit or vegetable. “I just bit into it because I was on the street and we were discussing whether this was a tomato or not. It’s definitely not, because look at these leaves.”
The camera then pans over to the bush where she finds this little reddish, orangish mystery food growing. It’s important to note the bush was behind a fence that Silverstone reached through to nab one to try.

‘So What The Heck Is This?’
She explained that it couldn’t be a cherry tomato because of the leaves, and showed what it looks like when she opened it up.
She then took another bite of this mystery food.
“I don’t think you’re supposed to eat this, but it’s almost like a pepper,” she said as she continued to chew it up. “Does anyone know what this is? I don’t know what it is. I need someone to tell me. I’m in England.”
Viewers of the video wasted no time jumping into the comment section to share their unfiltered thoughts.

“Even if it was a tomato, it’s on someone’s private front garden, you can’t just reach through their gate and pick their plants,” one viewer wrote. Another said, “That’s called a ‘it’s not yours. You shouldn’t touch it.'” Another person commented, “More to the point- Why are you eating random things from someone’s garden?!”

What Is A Jerusalem Cherry?
A quick online search of Jerusalem cherries shares some concerning information.
According to Plantura Magazine, “Like many solanaceous plants, Jerusalem cherries contain a poisonous alkaloid. The solanocapsin contained in the berries is toxic and similar to solanine, which is widely known from green potatoes. Therefore, the fruits of the Jerusalem cherry are not edible. Consumption can even cause gastrointestinal problems – such as diarrhoea, vomiting and nausea. Fortunately, the poison is not life-threatening, but it is extremely unpleasant.”
Plantura also warned, “It is best to keep the plant out of reach of children, because the small red berries look like cherry tomatoes and could therefore be particularly enticing to curious children.”
Alicia Silverstone Hasn’t Posted On Social Media Since Her Concerning Video

Her fans expressed their concern for her online absence in the comments of her video and many asked her to respond so they know she’s doing okay.
“Is Alicia ok??? We need an update!” one person wrote. Another added, “WOMAN! UPDATE US. ARE YOU ALIVE AND WELL!?!” One other viewer wrote, “MAAM. It’s been 7 HOURS are you okay?? Cause like you took most of the second one down.”
