Cindy Frey, née Millican known as Cindy Millican. She is a former famous American dancer, choreographer and actress but quite famous and popular for being the wife and a widow of a popular American musician late Glenn Frey who was the lead singer and frontman for the band, Eagles. She is also a famous advocate for Lupus due to her diagnosis of having the disease.
Cindy was born in a Caucasian family of the United States of America in 1967 and holds an American nationality. Though, her exact date of birth and place of birth is unknown till date. As a kid, she has always been a dancing enthusiast which led Cindy to receive dance lessons and then she decided to pursue dance as a career for her.
Cindy’s Recognition as a Dancer and an Actress
In early 1980s she became an active dance performer but started her professional career as a choreographer by appearing in the 1987 science fiction thriller film ‘The Running Man.’ The fictional film was based on a Stephen King novel which was written by Steven E. de Souza.
The fictional film starred great actors like María Conchita Alonso, Yaphet Kotto, Jesse Ventura, Richard Dawson, and the one and only Arnold Schwarzenegger where Cindy predictably portrayed the role of a dancer and played an integral part of the movie.
How Cindy met her sweetheart Glenn Frey?
After her debut Cindy became a recognizable dancer and an actress. Cindy was offered various music videos not just only to appear in but also to choreograph some musical videos and dances, till she met her future sweetheart Glenn Frey during one of his musical video shoots where she was a choreographer in it.
Thus, Glenn had been married before to an artist Janie Beggs from 1983 to 1988. Soon the relationship was developed between these two even having an age gap of 19 years.
Cindy quit her dancing career and dedicated her life as a full-time housewife
Moreover, the couple decided to tie the knot on 30th June, 1990. After getting married to Glenn Frey seemed like Cindy gave up on her dancing and acting career and decided to dedicate herself entirely to her family rather than getting busy being an actress.
During her entire time being married to a popular musician, Glenn Frey, Cindy hardly appeared in any limelight. Thus, she managed to keep away all the attention from her by not saying anything about herself or her personal life. So there is not much to write about her further career as a dancer and actress, which also led her to less controversies being in an industry.
The couple lived happily married life
In addition, the couple gave birth to their first born Taylor in 1991. And then gave birth to their two sons Deacon in 1993, who is now a band member of Eagles just like his father, and the youngest one, Otis was born in 2002. The family remained together until his death due to the complications of his rheumatoid arthritis in 2016. After his husband’s death, Cindy sued the hospital for ‘wrongful death’ of Glenn, where he was treated before his death. Currently Cindy Millican is a single mother of three children with not being involved in any relationship yet, apart from her husband, Glenn Frey.
Official statement by the band, Eagles
Being a frontman for the famous musical band, Eagle there was a statement made by Eagles official Facebook page when Glenn was suffering from the disease. The official statement by the band says that,
‘The Frey Family would like to thank everyone who joined Glenn to fight this fight and hoped and prayed for his speedy recovery. Words can neither describe our sorrow, nor our love nor respect for all that he has given to us, his family, the music community and millions of fans worldwide.’
The couple has raised money to fight the Disease
After years of living happily married life, Glenn considered his wife as the sole heir to his fortune. But Cindy was discovered with a disease called Lupus which causes the patient’s immune system to attack their own tissues and organs. This disease started to cause inflammation and affect her different parts of her body including skin, kidneys, blood cells, brain, heart and lungs.

Later on Cindy became a part of the fashion designer Donna Karan’s Ambassador Program, in which Karan helped her customers from all over the world as representatives for her philanthropic side who used to organize charitable awareness and fund-raising events to raise money for Lupus LA. And she soon recovered from the disease with help of countless charitable programs alongside her husband and physician. In a charity event Cindy opened about experiencing Lupus by spreading awareness throught her statement that,
“Lupus has been raging through our population of young women, cutting short the opportunity for them to reach their full potential,”
