ABC has finally released the official Abbott Elementary Season 4 trailer for the upcoming return of the acclaimed comedy series, which hails from creator and star Quinta Brunson. Season 4 is scheduled to premiere on Wednesday, October 9.

The video provides fans with a glimpse of the new challenges and hilarious antics that the Abbott Elementary faculty will go through in the next installment. These include dealing with class pets, and dealing with a student who has a ringworm infection.
Abbott Elementary is a workplace comedy created and executive produced by Quinta Brunson, who is also leading the cast as Janine Teagues. The sitcom also stars Tyler James Williams as Gregory Eddie, Janelle James as Ava Coleman, Lisa Ann Walter as Melissa Schemmenti, Chris Perfetti as Jacob Hill, William Stanford Davis as Mr. Johnson, and Emmy Award winner Sheryl Lee Ralph as Barbara Howard. For its third season, the show was nominated for in nine Emmy Award categories, including Outstanding Comedy Series.
“In this workplace comedy, a group of dedicated, passionate teachers — and a slightly tone-deaf principal — are brought together in a Philadelphia public school where, despite the odds stacked against them, they are determined to help their students succeed in life,” reads the series’ synopsis. “Though these incredible public servants may be outnumbered and underfunded, they love what they do — even if they don’t love the school district’s less-than-stellar attitude toward educating children.”
