A Van Gogh Biomusical Is in the Works

A biomusical focused on the life of impressionist painter Vincent van Gogh is in the works, being led by 23 Productions LLC. Titled Van Gogh: An Original Musical, the project features a book and lyrics by Celine Snippe and music by Eric Fegan. Will Nunziata, who conceived the work, is directing.
The musical tells the story of Van Gogh and his family from the point of view of the woman who introduced his art to the world, sister-in-law Jo van Gogh.
A reading presentation of the piece is planned for later this year. Rachel Bertone is choreographing, and Emily White is serving as dramaturg.
