A few days ago, I listened to and enjoyed the song “Charming” by Mindy Gledhill. As I later found out, it is actually the focus track of the newest album by the Utah-based indie-pop singer/songwriter.
Titled The Phone Booth Sessions, Vol. 1, the album was released on September 13th via Blue Morph Music. It was immediately preceded by the singles “The Edge of the World” and “Long Distance Lullaby”.
The Phone Booth Sessions, Vol. 1 carries themes of self-acceptance and self-love, with Mindy speaking to her younger self on issues such as negative thought-patterns.
Back to “Charming”, it was given quite an apt title. I love its calming operatic feel. In fact, the entire album is amazingly woven, and worth giving a proper listen.
