Book Description:
When Jeanie’s aunt gifts her the beloved Pumpkin Spice Café in the small town of Dream Harbor, Jeanie jumps at the chance for a fresh start away from her very dull desk job.
Logan is a local farmer who avoids Dream Harbor’s gossip at all costs. But Jeanie’s arrival disrupts Logan’s routine and he wants nothing to do with the irritatingly upbeat new girl, except that he finds himself inexplicably drawn to her.
Will Jeanie’s happy-go-lucky attitude win over the grumpy-but-gorgeous Logan, or has this city girl found the one person in town who won’t fall for her charm, or her pumpkin spice lattes…
The Pumpkin Spice Cafe is a cozy romantic novel with a grumpy x sunshine dynamic, a small-town setting and a HEA guaranteed!
My Thoughts:
I have been seeing this book everywhere, so of course I had to read it!
Dream Harbor is a small town where Jeanie has recently moved to, to escape from her mundane life and take over the running of her aunt’s café that sells the most delicious sounding hot drinks. Logan is the local farmer who delivers fresh produce to the café and sparks are literally flying when these two first meet for the first time.
The small town feel is wonderful with a great and welcoming community. We get to meet lots of lovely characters who Jeanie becomes friends with. There is a book club meet up, book shop, bakery, hell, I fell in love with this place every bit as much as Jeanie does and was wishing this place really existed so I could hightail it over there!
There is an added air of mystery as not everyone seems to be as happy about Jeanie moving to the small town. Lots of strange going ons which pulls Jeanie and Logan closer together. Although they don’t need much help in that department! The chemistry between these two, well lets just say it was smoking.
The Pumpkin Spice Café is perfect for anyone who loves a small town romance with a lot of spice. Yes, it’s definitely a cozy romance but wow, some parts managed to make me blush! It has all the elements I would expect with this genre and more. At less than 300 pages, I consumed this novel way too quickly but as it is the first book in a series, I can’t wait to return to Dream Harbor very soon. A fun, light-hearted and steamy read!
