Are you a fan of A Court of Mist and Fury? Then you’ll love these A Court of Mist and Fury quotes! This list of ACOMAF quotes includes the very best from this amazing book.
A Court of Mist and Fury (or ACOMAF) is the second book in Sarah J Maas’ A Court of Thorns and Roses series and one of her very best books. Whilst A Court of Thorns and Roses was good, ACOMAF is where it really kicks off.
To recap:
Feyre is back in the Spring Court having survived a terrible ordeal under the Mountain at the hands of the evil Amarantha.
She made a bargain with Rhysand, High Lord of the Night Court that she would have to stay with him every month, much to Tamlin’s horror.
However, Feyre’s visits to the Night Court are not as terrible as she thought they would be and she sees a completely different side to the feared High Lord.
She develops a bond with him and the two fall passionately in love. This brings out the saucier side to the ACOTAR series and I am totally here for it.
Without further ado, here are some of the very best A Court of Mist and Fury quotes.

Beautiful & Thought-Provoking ACOMAF Quotes
Most of the most beautiful A Court of Mist and Fury quotes come from Rhysand. And if you don’t love Rhysand after reading ACOMAF then we can’t be friends.
These are some of the best Rhysand quotes and most beautiful in the series.
“There are different kinds of darkness,” Rhys said. I kept my eyes shut. “There is the darkness that frightens, the darkness that soothes, the darkness that is restful.” I pictured each. “There is the darkness of lovers, and the darkness of assassins. It becomes what the bearer wishes it to be, needs it to be. It is not wholly bad or good.”
– Rhysand, Chapter 30, p221
“To the stars who listen— and the dreams that are answered.”
– Rhysand, Chapter 34, p249
“To the huntress who remembered to reach back for those less fortunate”
– Rhysand, Chapter 37, p267
“I made a mistake.”
“It’s not the end of the world if you do that every now and then.”– Rhysand, Chapter 38, p269
“Many atrocities, have been done in the name of the greater good.”
– Rhysand, Chapter 40, p285
“And I would go home at the end of every day exhausted but content – fulfilled.
Happy.”– Feyre, Chapter 53, p375
ACOMAF Quotes About Strength of Character
After the terrible events that took place under the Mountain at the end of ACOTAR, Feyre finds herself at breaking point.
Her soul has been shattered into a million pieces by the acts she was forced to do and, with the help of Rhysand and his friends, she begins to rebuild herself into a better, stronger Feyre in A Court of Mist and Fury.
Here are the best A Court of Mist and Fury quotes in relation to strength of character:
“I’ll say this once – and only once. You can be a pawn, be someone’s reward, and spend the rest of your immortal life bowing and scraping and pretending you’re less than him, than Ianthe, than any of us. If you want to pick that road, then fine. A shame, but it’s your choice. But I know you – more than you realise, I think – and I don’t believe for one damn minute that you’re remotely fine with being a pretty trophy for someone who sat on his ass for nearly fifty years then sat on his ass while you were shredded apart.”
– Rhysand, Chapter 7, p61
“But I wouldn’t sit in my room, couldn’t allow myself to mourn and mope and weep and sleep. So I would venture out, even if it was an agony…”
– Feyre, Chapter 15, p111
“I once lived in a place where the opinion of others mattered. It suffocated me, nearly broke me. So you’ll understand me, Feyre, when I say that I know what you feel, and I know what they tried to do to you, and that with enough courage, you can say to hell with a reputation. You do what you love, what you need”
– Mor, Chapter 16, p134
“I was not prey any longer, I decided as I eased up to that door.
And I was not a mouse.
I was a wolf.”– Feyre, Chapter 20, p162
“I was not a pet, not a doll, not an animal.
I was a survivor, and I was strong.
I would not be weak, or helpless again
I would not, could not be broken. Tamed.”– Feyre, Chapter 21, p169
“There are good days and hard days for me—even now. Don’t let the hard days win.”
– Mor, Chapter 22, p178
“No one was my master— but I might be master of everything, if I wished. If I dared.”
– Feyre, Chapter 33, p236
“A queen who owned her body, her life, her destiny, and never apologised for it.”
– Feyre, Chapter 42, p298
“I wonder if some part of me knew what was waiting for me. That I would never be a gentle grower of things, or someone who burned like fire—but that I would be quiet and enduring and as faceted as the night. That I would have beauty, for those who knew where to look, and if people didn’t bother to look, but to only fear it … Then I didn’t particularly care for them, anyway. I wonder if, even in my despair and hopelessness, I was never truly alone. I wonder if I was looking for this place—looking for you all.”
– Feyre, Chapter 47, p357

And now I had an eternity to live with it.”– Feyre, Chapter 1, p13
“The issue isn’t whether he loved you, it’s how much. Too much. Love can be a poison.”
– Rhysand, Chapter 33, p237
“I have so many things to deal with that I’m sometimes tempted to unleash my power across the world and wipe the board clean. Just to buy me some damned peace. But I always make time for you.”
– Rhysand, Chapter 11, p86
I sipped from my wine. “And if he had grabbed me?”
There was nothing but uncompromising will in his eyes. “Then I would have torn apart the world to get you back.”– Rhysand, Chapter 48, p343
“And I wondered if love was too weak a word for what he felt, what he’d done for me. For what I felt for him.”
– Feyre, Chapter 54, p386
“I was his and he was mine, and we were the beginning and middle and end. We were a song that had been sung from the very first ember of light in the world.”
– Feyre, Chapter 55, p390
ACOMAF Quotes About Overcoming Darkness

Week after week, he’d fought for me, even when I had no reaction, even when I had barely been able to speak or bring myself to care if I lived or died or ate or starved. I couldn’t leave him to his own dark thoughts, his own guilt. He’d shouldered them alone long enough.”– Feyre, Chapter 38, p271
“When you spend so long trapped in darkness, you find that the darkness begins to stare back.”
– Feyre, Chapter 47, p338
