If you’re in the mood for a lighthearted European action thriller (and, let’s be honest, you really should be), then The Killer’s Game is calling your name.
The upcoming film stars Dave Bautista as a hitman who puts out a hit on himself after receiving a terminal health diagnosis. Except, the doctor got it wrong, and he’s actually not dying. Too bad the hit he put out can’t be rescinded, leaving him no choice but to kill his wannabe killers.
Dave stopped by our studios to chat about the film while completing our Puppy Interview, and we’re so glad he did.
The actor and WWE legend was a total sweetheart. Turns out he’s also a huge dog dad! He opened up about his love for pit bulls (he’s got four of his own at home) and why he thinks the breed is “misjudged.”
He even told us his youngest dog, Talulah, came to him by way of his Guardians costar Chris Pratt and the one and only Millie Bobby Brown. The story he shared is genuinely so heartwarming.
But that’s not all he opened up about. Dave is a part of some major franchises like Dune, Knives Out, Guardians of the Galaxy, and Blade Runner. He told us what film he found “most challenging” to work on (Hint: It’s not any of those mentioned above)…
…which WWE star he thinks has the chops to make it as a major actor…
…and which legendary actress it’d be “magical” to star alongside in a rom-com.
Of course, he also told us everything about The Killer’s Game, including his favorite behind-the-scenes moment, which involved his costar, Sir Ben Kingsley.
Finally, check out The Killer’s Game in theaters on Sept. 13.
