Netflix has just added another cast member for the highly anticipated One Piece Season 2, this time with Bridgerton star Charithra Chandran joining the live-action series as Miss Wednesday.
The news comes after a week full of cast announcements, with Never Have I Ever’s Sendhil Ramamurthy joining the cast as the Nefertari family’s patriarch, Nefertari Cobra. Miss Wednesday (also called Nefertari Vivi) is a key character in the One Piece lore, known for her involvement with the Straw Hat Pirates during the entirety of the Arabasta Saga.
“I am so excited to be joining the cast of One Piece, and I feel incredibly grateful to Oda Sensei for trusting me with the role of Vivi. I know how much she means to all of you, and I am going to work my hardest to do her justice and make you all proud,” said Chandran in a video shared by Netflix.
Chandran is best known for her roles as Edwina Sharma in the second season of Bridgerton as well as Sabina Pleasance in Alex Rider Season 2. Her film credits include Eternals and How to Date Billy Walsh.
