Teal Wicks, Corey Mach, Nick Drake, More Join North American Tour of & Juliet
The hit Broadway jukebox musical will play more than 30 cities during its first year on the road.
Casting is now complete for the North American tour of the Tony-nominated musical & Juliet, launching September 22 at Baltimore’s Hippodrome Theatre.
As previously reported, Rachel Simone Webb, who covers the title role in the Broadway production of & Juliet, will head the cast of the touring production.
She will be joined by the newly announced Paul-Jordan Jansen as Lance, Teal Wicks as Anne Hathaway, Corey Mach as Shakespeare, Nick Drake as May, Kathryn Allison as Angélique, Michael Canu as Romeo, and Mateus Leite Cardoso as François.
The ensemble will include Naima
Alakham, Camille Brooks, Nella Cole, Lois Ellise, Ishmael Gonzalez,
Kenneth Onesimus Goubran, Shelby Griswold, Christopher Robert Hanford,
Jourdan Ibe, Josh Jordan, Nicole Lamb, Yoshi Maysonet, Usman Ali
Mughal, Jaydon Nget, Kyra Smith, and Francisco Thurston.

said in an earlier statement, “After two years as an invaluable member of our original Broadway
company, we’re thrilled that Rachel is leading our North American tour
company. Rachel is an incredible talent, and we can’t wait for audiences
across America to fall in love with her.”
Following its launch in Baltimore, the forthcoming tour
will subsequently visit more than 30 cities in its first year, including
Boston,
Atlanta, Chicago, Charlotte, Dallas, Seattle, San Francisco, and Los
Angeles.

The hit musical flips
the script on the William Shakespeare classic, imagining what would
happen next if Juliet hadn’t ended it all over Romeo.
Featuring a book by David West Read, the score includes a
mix of tunes by Max Martin and more, including “Since U Been Gone,”
“Roar,” “I Want It That Way,” and “Confident.”
The production also has direction by Luke Sheppard,
choreography by Jennifer Weber, musical supervision, orchestrations, and
arrangements by Bill Sherman, scenic design by Soutra Gilmour, costume
design by Paloma Young, lighting design by Howard Hudson, sound design
by Gareth Owen, video projection design by Andrzej Goulding, hair, wig,
and makeup design by J. Jared Janas, and musical direction and
additional orchestrations by Dominic Fallacaro.
The Broadway production, which continues at the Stephen
Sondheim Theatre, was nominated for nine 2023 Tony Awards, including
Best Musical.
U.S. casting is by Stephen Kopel and Carrie Gardner. & Juliet is executive-produced on Broadway by Eva Price.
