T-Pain had some choice words for audience members who repeatedly threw random items at the stage while he performed at the Mississippi Valley Fair.
According to AllHipHop, during his performance — which took place on Thursday (August 1) — the disrespect he felt from the crowd prompted the Florida-native to pause the show, addressing the crowd for nearly three minutes.
“As a muthafcka that turns 40 this year, I’m not obligated to stay up here while muthafuckas keep disrespecting me,” he said. “I don’t want to sound like an asshole, but you wouldn’t stay up here and you just keep getting disrespected like that because it’s weird.”
In a clip captured by someone in the audience, he continues: “I’m trying my best to ignore the shit, I’m trying my best just to let it go. But after a while it’s just like… you know? I wanna keep having fun, I fuck with the most of y’all. It’s only a few pieces of shit out there. You know what I mean? We’re all having fuckin’ fun.”
As he paused, the crowd began chanting T-Pain’s name, which prompted him to take a mid-rant dance break.
“I’m not saying that I want to leave, I’m not saying that,” he went on. “I’m not pissed or anything. But it’s only so much shit I’m gon… I’m not a fuckin’ clown, I’m not gonna sit up here and get pies thrown in my face and shit. I fuck wit you, I fuck wit you, bro. I fuck wit y’all.”
He concluded: “Again, I appreciate y’all comin’ out this muthafucka; and I don’t wanna leave halfway through, I really don’t want to, trust me. But I can’t stay up this muthafucka getting disrespected, that’s all I’m sayin’. Do y’all wanna keep me going?”

T-Pain is far from the only artist to have been submitted to this concerning trend in recent months.
In April, Nicki Minaj angrily threw an object into the crowd at her show in Detroit after she was nearly hit by it on stage.
While the Young Money rapper performed her hit song “Starships” at the Little Caesars Arena on, a fan threw an unidentified object at her, forcing her to bat it away.
A video of the moment shows Nicki picking up the object and launching it back in the direction from which she thought it came with an angry look on her face.
She then stares at the crowd before resuming her performance.
Despite nearly being struck by an object, Nicki had nothing but praise for the Motor City audience, writing on X after the concert: “#GagCityDetroit what was your fave part of the show last night? Your energy was so beautiful. Loud, Happy, Fly, Pretty, SEXY, etc. just GREAT energy that I’ll never forget.”
There were also several other highlights throughout the show, including a surprise appearances from Detroit’s own Big Sean.
