The long-awaited new trailer for the upcoming horror flick, “Willy’s Wonderland” (Screen Media Films) starring Nicolas Cage was just released Friday, January 15.

“Willy” the weasel is the amusement park’s official mascot in the film. His tagline is, “Hey kids, you know what time it is? It’s birthday time!”

The trailer features a ‘bad-ass’ Nicolas Cage playing a janitor at a haunted old amusement park battling a massacre against evil, animatronic demonic psychopath robots. At the beginning of the trailer, he looks like a cool, stoic rock star flaunting his shades and looking like a really mean-spirited bearded truck driver coming out of his car onto a dirt road.

Nic barely has any lines in “Wally’s,” compared to the film “Mandy”  he didn’t have any lines in some of the scenes.

The premise focuses on a drifter whose car breaks down and takes a job as a janitor at a run-down old amusement park as a trade-off to fix his car. The plot thickens when the evil robots come to life and try to kill him. He has to fight them off to stay alive.

Sounds like fun doesn’t it? It’s a roller coaster ride with various twists and turns!  The film will be released on VOD on February 12.

Some say it’s a “Five Nights at Freddy’s” knock-off which is a survival horror film and video game and it’s said this film and its characters are based on the original film/video game. The characters and the setting resemble Chuck E. Cheese restaurant. The original concept was created by Scott Cawthon and the original film was delayed a couple of years until an official announcement from producer Jason Blum in June 2020 that the film will finally go into production this spring 2021.
