50 Cent has shown no sympathy for his old rival Irv Gotti after the Murder Inc. founder suffered a stroke.
On Wednesday (August 28), 50 posted a picture on Instagram of Irv walking with a cane while recovering from his stroke, mocking the seemingly frail record executive.
Referencing his classic song “Wanksta,” which is widely believed to have been aimed at Ja Rule, Fif captioned the image: “Damn homie, in high school you was the man homie, WTF happened to you?”
He continued taunting Gotti by adding: “I want Irv to get well, [raised eyebrow emoji] so he can have to watch my next wave [wave emoji] LOL.”
Irv Gotti suffered a stroke earlier this year as a result of his ongoing battle with diabetes.
A rep for the 54-year-old confirmed with TMZ earlier on Wednesday that he is on the mend after having a “minor stroke” over six months ago.
“Irv has been struggling with diabetes for years, which caused him to have a minor stroke over six months ago,” they said. “He has since changed his diet to eating more healthy. He’s been successful in making a full recovery.”
Debunking rumors about the severity of his health scare, the rep added: “Irv is not in a rehab facility. He is at home with his family, enjoying life.”
Gotti himself later issued a statement to The Shade Room, saying: “I’m getting older. That’s all. Only thing worse than getting old is not getting old.”
The producer also said he’s been enjoying spending time with his two sons, Sonny and JJ, and two dogs while recovering, and that his children were upset about Wack 100 spilling the beans about his health scare.
The controversial music manager, whose clients include The Game, Blueface and 6ix9ine, claimed earlier this week that he was tipped off by an employee at a stroke recovery center that Irv Gotti had suffered a stroke.
Wack said he was sent photos of Irv, including one showing him walking with a cane outside of a recovery center. He noted that Irv appears to have “lost a lot weight” amid his alleged health problems.
By Gotti’s own admission on Drink Champs last year, he acknowledged that he was struggling to get his diabetes under control and was being forced to make drastic changes to his diet.
Despite much time having passed since the height of 50 Cent’s feud with Irv Gotti and Murder Inc., the “In Da Club” hitmaker has showed no intention of letting bygones be bygones.
Earlier this year, 50 mocked Gotti after it was revealed that his former signee (and alleged lover) Ashanti was having a baby with her fiancé Nelly.
