Zebrastraat Ghent is a stimulating knowledge center with a strong interest in art. Every two years the New Technological Art Award (NTAA) is organized, a contest that tries to fill in a gap in mainstream art.
The technological developments drive global culture, and Belgian
NTAA selects and presents creations, a low or high tech, intuitive or experimental, where the creations always draw our attention to the innovative trends.
The NTAA contemporary and new technologies used in an original and intelligent way, which includes treatment of sounds and light, use of new media, application of innovative evolutions in communications, telecommunications and broadcasting, in order to present practical possibilities of the Liedts-Meesen Foundation, keeping in mind that the works will be displayed during the exhibition.
This international competition is open to all age groups and to all nationalities. Artists can present their candidacy for one artwork less than two years old, but which may already have been exhibited in English.
There is no artist fee. The 20 projects selected by the jury will be presented at the website in October 2021.
The prizes are cash award of 5,000 euro and it will be allocated to a work and to its creator. The deadline is the 31st of August 2021.
