Zachys Wine and Liquor Store Moving to Port Chester

Zachys the multimillion-dollar go-to retailer auction and storage behemoth wine shop located on East Parkway in Scarsdale, NY will be leaving the village after more than 75 years.  The owners have decided to relocate to the former Strauss Paper headquarters in Port Chester, NY on 10 Slater Street after signing a lease and utilize the 70,000 square ft. of space it will provide for their wines and liquors.

Since 1944, family-owned Zachys Wine & Liquor has proudly shared the world’s finest selection of wine and spirits with wine enthusiasts. Through three generations of the Zacharia family, what began as a local retail shop in Scarsdale, New York, has expanded into a 130-employee market leader in fine wines and spirits, with operations in New York, Washington, D.C., Hong Kong and London. It also runs an e-commerce business.

According to wineindustryadvisor.com the owners are excited about their new location. They will be moving in early 2022.

“A family-owned, 3rd generation company like ours is loyal to its roots, so while we are moving a few miles to the northeast of both our retail and corporate offices, we couldn’t imagine leaving our beloved Westchester County,” said Jeff Zacharia, President.

“This is all to say that once again, we invite you to ‘Take a Drive to Zachys,’ but this time to one of the finest wine and spirits retail, event, auction and storage facilities in the world,” said Andrew McMurray, Vice President.

The store is a family-owned business started by Don Zacharia and now is run by owners President Jeff Zacharia and Vice President Andrew McMurray. The retailer is looking to consolidate its operations from its Scarsdale and White Plains location and will be bringing over 100 employees to its new location.

This past month, Port Chester has seen an increase of 400-500% in development inquiries of projects.
